Apparently, Apple believes that such a smartphone could sell mi and, plans to launch it next March. While we have reported on speculation concerning the device several times in the last few months, a new rumour has sparked debate about an iPhone SE successor again.
Initially rumoured to be called the iPhone SE 2, Japanese website Macotakara now claims that Apple has a different name in mind for its next US$399 handset. Citing an ‘informed source’, Macotakara states that the iPhone SE 2 will be called the iPhone 9, principally because of its resemblance to the iPhone 8.
Macotakara is known for being a well-informed website, so we would not just cast this aside for now. However, the website does list it as a rumour, so perhaps its unsure of the authenticity of this one. While calling the device the iPhone 9 would make sense if it were an iPhone 8 successor, Apple would come into trouble if it plans to release a few more budget and cheaper handsets. While the iPhone 9s would be an obvious name for an iPhone 9 successor, what would follow the iPhone 9s? The iPhone 10 is out, strictly speaking. Perhaps, the iPhone 9 is another one-off for the company to fill a gap in the market?

Another day, another update as PUBG Mobile beta will be getting one soon. Dubbed 0.16.0, the update will come with new modes and features such as EVOGround, TPP (third person perspective) to FPP (First person perspective) switch, a new Death Race mode and even snow in the Erangel map. These updates give players an early look at what new features and additions will be available on the upcoming official public rollout.
First detailed by Youtuber Mr. Ghost Gaming, these features also include two new modes added in EvoGround called ‘RageGear-TDM’ and ‘RageGear-PickUp’. Moving on to the various new modes, first up is Death Race mode where players will be placed on a small racecourse (in vehicles) where they’ll have to fight their opponents to the death. Another new addition is the ability to switch between FPP and TPP, instantly. There will be a small ‘switch’ icon that appears on the bottom of your screen where you can tap on it to change between the different perspectives.
We’ve also got snow now in Erangel. Even though this isn’t the first map to be covered in snow, Vikendi has that honour, Erangel now receives a snowy update. Not all the map is covered in snow though. There will be a few areas where there is no snow covering. On the areas that are snow-covered though, you’ll be able to see trolley towers and ski lifts as well. Players will also be able to travel down the map using ski-boards but this feature will only be available for a limited time.
So, what can we glean from this info? Well, for one thing, these changes will be making their way to the public version of the game soon. Watch this space for more info on PUBG:Mobile.
